The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a story about a high school girl named Haruhi who forms a club to find aliens, time travelers, and espers and solve all the mysteries of this world.

When the anime adaptation first began airing in 2006, the episodes were shown in a curiously anachronistic order. Before the second season aired in 2009, the first season was rebroadcast, this time in chronological order.

Ever since, there has been endless debate over which watch order is proper, as well as how much of the infamous "Endless Eight" arc should be included.

This website proposes a new watch order: the metachronological order.

In the metachronlogical order, each episode is watched on the day of the year it takes place, or reasonably close to it. This watch order begins in May and ends in December, so it requires planning and dedication!

On the home page, you can view which episode takes place today or on any given day. On the timeline page, you can view a schedule of episodes for the entire year.
